Values
Cicero Residents have rights to social economic and racial justice. This means creating spaces, improving programming, and being transparent in leadership as a way to increase accessibility and equity for BIPOC affected by policy and systems. I want to serve and work alongside Cicero Residents to co-create solutions and offer high impact programming and services. It starts with holding institutions and community leaders accountable for harm, violence or neglect of communities through organizing and collective movements. Together, we denounce the prison industrial complex and aim to abolish the police to create safer systems not rooted in racial and political oppression.
My work and approach will always lean into transformation and restorative justice, research-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction and community-focused practices.For more information on community accountability: click here
